Outfit HQ....or similar?

Had a quick search, but not found a proper answer, will there be any kind of outfit HQ in the game, a base that is just for said outfit, not even fussed if it's instancesed, which it most likey the only way it will work.

Would be great for a outfit to have its own 'home'

/thoughts ....

What would be even better if you get to have an instanced playground for you and your outfit to mess around in. I can just imagine Scythe Dodgeball.

I personally don't see the need.
Whats wrong with prepping your platoon for war in the stronghold(/sanctuary).
It's always nice to see another outfit prepping for war and it opens up for coordinating (like asking "where are you going ?").
It's also a way to get to know the real active outfits, ones you see prepping in the stronghold very often might be interesting for newer players without outfits or looking for a new one.

It adds to the feeling go belonging, it's always great to have a home, you will still see a lot of prepping in the footholds, but most decent outfits will already have sorted there alliance ' coordination' out long before they prepping anyway.

Having a outfit base/home strengthens bonds builds loyalty and adds to the game.

If it goes in the game(Hopefully after most things are patched and ready to go), it better not be a generic house like Runescape.

Feel at home at the footholds or a certain one of tthe available

This isn't an mmorpg where alot of the idea is to hang around. This is an mmofps and like PS1 you'll be supposed to just group up and head out, or meet in the field.

Lol never played runescape, but even if it's a bit say like lotto, that's still be fine by me.

You could probably monetize it quite well, and maybe even add in some form of instanced Outfit vs Outfit defense/offense using it, but I would rather not see something like that.

It really adds to the atmosphere when a group of players is using the faction's "base" as a meeting place. The world feels more alive with stuff like this... Seeing a large group of players slowly get built up and then move out to fight a battle you won't even be involved in really makes you feel like you are just a small part of this war.

Not to change this into a nostalgia thread, but it was basically this generic house with many options, only 5 or so were of any use and actually felt good such as an alter and some combat boxing rings.
EDIT: And I'll be honest, I'd rather be train or (hopefully) train other people how to fly in a controlled environment instead of being shouted at to get back into the fight.

While I think its good for outfits to have a home, I think that that home should be fully destructible.

There's a thread on outfit cruisers you may find useful here:http://www.planetside-universe.com/s...ad.php?t=41198

I think I'd rather have an airship or carrier with tactical use that costs resources and can be destroyed than a static "house".

Quite happy if they make it destructible, maybe a bit along the lines of AoC battlekeeps, but it should not be air ships, well would prefer it to be ground based.

Outfits homes/bases will add to the community not subtract from it, which seems to be what a few here think, it's been in lots of games and it tends to make guilds/clans/outfits bond stronger, which makes people stay with the game a lot longer.

A secret not many people know:

You aren't supposed to post in the suggestion forums. With most game forums, the suggestion forum is like a garbage can. Mods can put stupid ideas into it without hurting anyone's feelings, and the good ideas stay in the general discussion, where people will actually read it.

All this fluff takes time to develope and add almost nothing to the game. I'd rather they focussed on the bases themselves or the combat system.
Even given these matters are taken care of already and a developer is sitting there thumbling his thumbs, there are better ideas to work on than just a base for outfits.
