IMO...planetside is way off on the release date. They have around 700 or 800 people in closed beta. The producer said....they wont start open beta until
1) 500 people are on one continent at one time or 2) 5000 people are in on one server By the time they reach one of those two goals...it might be halfway through april. :O:

Even though SOE has the pre-order up with estimated release date of May 19th, I'm a bit surprised and disappointed that the devs haven't spoken on this issue.
I think that even if it's a "There's no way in hell we can make it in 4 weeks" then we should be hearing that. That would be better information than no information. Even if it's just an estimate, I'd like to hear it from the devs. We all understand that estimates fluctuate and can't hold them to it. They are just that estimates. Instead, I will drool in anticipation until the game release. |

The push back seems to me like a good thing. Its better to have the game running as smooth as possible on release since bringing down the servers after beta would strand alot more people without PlanetSide while they are fixing what needs to be fixed. Besides, the longer you wait the better it will be when you finally get to play.(although I am not encouraging any more push backs on the release date, I need to suit up and defend the Terran Republic ASAP)
