Anyone else in the middle of this power outage in the D.C. area? We had 90 mph winds last night and there is a lot if damage and millions out of power. Temps outside are around 100.
I hope the power is back on tomorrow for the big PS fight.

My boss called me asking if I'd come in to try to assist with the workload resulting from the problem, and I don't even work in the east-coast trouble ticket system.
We're an ISP and I'm an enterprise WAN data technician. Bad weather and power outages means a lot of work for us, and apparently this has our office swamped. I declined to come in... I've already done a ton of overtime this last week because of outages in the west. I'm burned out. Besides, what can we do for people other than tell them that the problems will be resolved when the damage is repaired? Last edited by Electrofreak; 2012-06-30 at 09:45 PM. |
