PS2 beta first invites based on kill count in PS1?

I think that'd be fair. Kinda. Because those are the people who will likely "test" for 12 hours a day.

Only people in outfits with over 10m outfit points who won outfit wars get in. kill count would be acceptable too though.

i think they're doing it off post to kills ratio though. ..how does that work? example: Totalbiscuit got in first.

I think SOE wants all types playing. They're serious about this being a beta test, unlike most other developers that treat beta as more of a free demo and publicity stunt... like most randomly selected beta testers do. Though to be fair, most of the real bug testing is done behind closed doors with people trained to look for bugs, and that is a very dull process in many cases.

Pretty sure, however, with the recent survey being a prime indicator, that a lot of those selected will fall into a category of PC they're looking for, and still selected at random from within that lot. Though I won't say that will be THE method they use, just a factor in whom they choose. I wouldn't be surprised if we're asked to submit our dxdiag if we get selected before being granted access. The survey is probably just easier to code around for random selection, and that's the only justification I have for SOE to prefer a survey over a more reliable dxdiag turn-in.

Top 1000 in kill counts, and top 1000 in support points divide by 3. :]

Screw over support characters. That sounds like a great idea.

I think everyone should be given a chance to beta, PS1 players and PC Gamers get priority. So, no.

The little people, (those who are not PS1 players or have PC Gamer keys,) have to wait even longer.

Now lets not split the community here.

Nah, not fair to the casual players that are 9 year subscribers.

To be fair. If you're testing a completely new game, maybe you don't want the ultimate bittervet turbo neckbeards as your main test group.

Why are you limiting to how many people one kills when the game allows people to play other roles than simply killing?

because some guy that plays 10 hours a day and ignores all bugs he finds as he just wants to play will be sooo valueable
