Returning Planetside Player or new to the Franchise?

I'v made this poll before, but id like to see now that the game has been getting alot more coverage how much the population here has changed, previously +85% of the population was a returning planetside player.

Voting for New to the franchise: you started playing planetside or are here talking about PS2 after PlanetSide 2 became a reality and was officially announced at the start of 2011. (if you never played PS1, vote this option)

Returning PlanetSide Player: you played Planetside prior to planetside 2s official announcement in 2011.

Hope the poll options are clear enough :O

Good poll! Nice to see one that isn't loaded or derogatory, :P. Personally I think that for a pre beta game, planetside 2 is making waves. I'm the kind of guy who's trying to spread hype like wildfire, and the idea of an mmofps is something that my friends and I used to dream up as if we were developers. It's honestly amazing that the technology is here to make the kind of grand world that auraxis has become in PS2. Can't wait to get my hands on it and see how it handles.

I technically am a returning player, but I played so long ago and for so little time that I'm more like a new player...

How open has SOE been with subscriber numbers for PS? I know they stopped giving out EQ info a long time ago.

Would be interesting though, to know the number of PS1 vets compared to total number of players in PS2 as time goes on.

new to planetside but old to the FPS world and id say teenager to the mmo world lol

we already know that psu is mainly populated with PS1 vets so far but the game itself will be populated with 95 % new ps players !

i wanted to play planetside but my internet and comp were crapzola, i logged into the game years ago but had such a horrible experience i lagged for a while and logged out. heard about ps2 pshhhwww i dont know when, earlier this year i guess, and have been unpatiently waiting since. really wanted to play ps1 so now i finally get my chance at the sequel. went from waiting for e3 to waiting for beta
