This will sound random, but make sure the power that goes into the CPU area is plugged in (it's a 4 pin on my system, by the CPU socket.) One time I installed a graphics card and forgot about that one, even though the motherboard 20 pin one was installed.

Did you try flipping the switch on the back of the power supply?

Try reseting the CMOS. Look it in the motherboard manual how to do it.

What are you using to connect to your TV (DVI, HDMI)? The TV was set to the proper input? You had the connector to the card itself not the motherboard?

Did you remember to put in the windows CD? If yes, where did you get it cause I dont see it on your parts list?

Does it make any beeps or show any numbers on the led?

So i opened it back up and checked the plugs then when i went to turn on my pc nothing was getting power my pc was dead. What happened? This a couple hundred bucks down the drain...
Check that its set to 120V at the back. Also check your power strip/circuit breaker/fuse. If you dont smell anything burnt, you may have just received a dead-on-arrival psu. Return it and get a free replacement. Or if you have another desktop, try using this psu to power it to check if it works.

Make sure you did not install a standoff in the case for which there is no opening on the motherboard.

Ive seen PLENTY of first time PC builders install all the standoffs in the baggie into the case. Then when they put in the motherboard something is grounded/shorted out. It can damage a motherboard sometimes, other times it will be fine.

What exactly is a stand off?

You only need those installed behind the actual motherboard screws, but your case comes with extras because some larger motherboards use more mounting screws than others. In other words, those standoffs need to be mounted on the spots that match your motherboard's mounting holes, and only in those spots.

So just to be clear, you switched on the computer once and it powered up, fans turning with signs of life, but since then it's been dead?

I'm guessing you've gotten a bad PSU, which seems to happen occasionally looking at the reviews (didn't Goku recommend the Antec Neo Eco?)
