The truth is we don't know how long the tech test is going to last. Our guess is 1-2 weeks. Could be shorter. Could be longer. Not trying to dodge the question. it's just the straight up truth - we don't know what problems we're going to see.

We can rest slightly easier now I suppose, though most people were shooting (grapsing at straws) for closed beta to start this week, it's nice to have some information.

Slightly disappointed about his comments about the EU side of things too but I guess it's necessary for a better long term game. I just want to get my hands on this baby and give it a spin and give my feedback too!

On reddit reading from the players that were are the community event yesterday and did some playtesting; there appears to be alot of little bugs/glitches that need fixing.

I assume this is whats going to cause the tech test to take a little longer than originally anticipated.

aaaah the EU shafting logic : iterations take too long ...
Which is kinda weird, I mean:
* a game developer must have a good internet connection right ?
* Software/code can be transported over the internet right ?
* Correct implementation can be done by somebody with equal educatation right ?
(depending on what, it might be able to do it remotely as well)

Argh! Wouldn't be so extremely mad about this if it weren't for Higby stating that the beta would begin after the 15th.. F**king Smedley..

Edit: My bad, the test would start around that date. Though I hoped for it taking just a few days to a week.
