I really want to know if and how events on one continent will effect events on another continent. If so then to what degree?

Great question. I mean the Warpgates for now are also mini-Sancs so... I couldn't really tell you. I'd have to think there isn't an inter-continent meta-game currently but it doesn't need to stay that way.

This is a great point. I wonder if continent-specific resources could potentially fix this? Not sure what they would be used for or if it would even work, but it could be an interesting option.

What other directions could they take? Because the more I type this post the more I would love -something- to be added to fill the void.

Edit: If not exclusive resources, then have different resource ratios. So that Amerish will have more resource B than the other two continents, but less resource A and C than they do. But this will only really work if resources are given out from a total pool instead of just which continent you happen to be on at the time.

Very good question. Maybe the lack of resources could have an impact?
Speaking of witch, do players even gain the resources generated on other continents or only on the continent they are fighting on?

I know nobody really can give a full answer, but what do you think would work?

I don't remember hearing anything about the state of one continent affecting another. That was a big part of PS1, so maybe they have some ideas on the design table that they aren't talking about yet.

From what we know each continent may as well be a different planet; they exist to give you your pick of ice, desert, and grass terrain.

From what we know... they're all different continents on "Auraxis".

So OPs question is legit.

Technically, they are, that's true. It doesn't matter because the continents have no effect on each other; there is no intercontinental metagame, and until they add more continents we're not likely to get one.

Yeah.

I can't see how it would work myself, at launch. We got 3 continents now, but who knows in the future?

I remember reading that you only gain resources from the continent you are on. Right now they are just like different maps you can chose from, so you play in the environment you like most.

In PS1 we recieved bonuses for capturing a continent and were able to advance to the next one. Since now every continent is readily avaiable, this is out of the window.

Uh, I may have just missed some info somewhere, not really sure but. What do resources do for you in general? Even if they're not inter-continent, but on your own.

I know there are hexes with the resources. I know you capture those. But.... what do they give you? Do you have to be at the Hex to get it? Are you able to earn whatever the resource gives while offline?

I'm so very confused by a lot of this.

Forcing a static route with only 3 continents would be a very bad idea, though.

So far it looks like having 3 board games on a table, checkers, monopoly and cleudo.

You could be fighting on checkers, but if you want some auraxium, you might have to leave there and go play cleudo for an hour or 2 to come back and hope checkers server is not full.
