Im curious if inertia will be a factor when you are exiting vehicles without a "hot drop" feature.
For instance, if you are flying a mosquito and bail out, will you fall straight down, or continue moving forward with momentum. I can imagine having two very different kinds of drops if organized outfits could use light assault to "glide into" a base for a more silent night drop, than having the galaxy fly overhead. Anyone know anything more on this? |

yeah, if you bail you keep going the same speed as the vehicle in videos, however it appears dmage is relative to the angle of the surface you impact. IE if you jump out on flat land heading 110 kph, seems no damage, but hit a wall and splat.
I expect that to be fixed during beta. |

Now that I think about it, that's very correct, though do we really need inertia when exiting ground vehicles.. on the ground? Hopefully the system acts in a way that creates two scenarios. One, your vehicle is moving on the ground. When you exit it you stand still because honestly it would look a bit weird if you kept moving. Two, your ground vehicle is falling from a cliff, you exit it and you keep falling, because honestly it would look a bit weird if you didn't keep moving.
