how BIG do you think PS2 will be?

with all the publicity that SoE has been having the past couple of months. How big do you think PS2 will be, and do you think it will hit over the 1,000,000 player mark within 12 months of launch?

Well. If you like what PS2 turns out to be, are you willing to take a few minutes every day to spread the word? Tell your friends, tell the clans you've associated with in other games, etc?

Depends how you measure it.

1 million accounts created - yes, easily and within hours of launch.
1 million active accounts- yes, I would be very shocked if that wasn't reached within a month, but after 6 months maybe not.
1 million online at any given moment - yes, but only in the first 6 months. Then it'll fade away a bit.

3 * 64 sq km maps/
Or if you stacked them next to each other 24 x 8 km.

I think PS2 will be the WoW of FPS's. Thats how big I think it will be.

Well at least every person that likes Planetside 2 on facebook will play it in my opinion. Let's also assume that these people tells one of their friends of the game. That gives us 140,000 players.. The friends tell their friends and suddenly the amount has doubled once again.
The teaser trailer reached half a million views in such short time as well which shows that there is a large number of potential players that don't like the facebook page but will probably play the game as well AND tell their friends..

Then we have the chinese. Yeah don't have to say anything else about the chinese lol.

But I think 1,000,000 players seems very plausible and since this is a game that encourages playing with your friends I believe that we might actually see more people than that, if we're lucky that is.

no its 8 x 8 km for a map. So it's 64 squared. You then times that by 3 since there's 3 maps.

Making it way too complicated.
