Ive been thinking about this and decided to make a topic.
Wouldnt it be cool to have the option of a UI that looks like the inside of a helmet? Something like in Republic commando? Or the new halo game? In the CGI we see the view of the vanu infiltrator: Maybe we can get it after release? Or custom UIs? What do you think? |

It would be cool as an OPTION. But it would really only be used by people making videos and some RPers. Especially in a fast paced AAA shooter, you need the most FOV that you can get.
I already know that if its allowed, I will be turning off all the sparkly special effects and stuff so I can kill NC and TR more effectively and not be distracted by crazy particle effects. |

I think its very cool and immersive, but from a development standpoint the variety of different helmets and UI styles (each empire -- MAX as opposed to Infantry, different visor styles like the Vanu Infiltrator) the problem is that you would either spend HUGE amounts of time to make each one, or you would end up with a single helmet style, which would be pretty much the same as what we have now.
So I think that's pretty much the reason for that. They could of made the helmets more standardized to accomodate this, but realistically in development they probably didnt have the armors fleshed out by the time they wanted to have their UI functioning, so there was just not enough overlap to make it a high priority. |

If its an option. There is no problem. And I dont believe there are people retarded enough to use it and complain that it takes up fov. |
