people have discussed using deep strikes as diversionary ops. I think that the most effective deep strike would be on the other two factions shyared border.
If there isn't already a battle raging one might be able to instigate one by capping the border territory. It seems doable with a platoon or a squad, and then if you cap it both sides would have an obvious interest in taking an entirely isolated third party territory and then you would get the benefit of the other two fighting each other for you then you could simply exfil and let hte battle rage. Ta-da! Troops diverted form both of your empires borders |

Honestly, that's a rather clever idea. Could definitely work in your faction's favour. I'll probably pass this along to our spec ops leader. Thanks! =D

Not to mention if you can find a borderline where you affect the resources of one or both empires...The chaos that you may cause!!

Of course, after starting the hacks, I'd inform my empire. I just let all the different outfits decide what to do with it. Vanu are wise, generally speaking. That's why you see us in that premiered trailer with the force waiting on the report from the three infiltrators. |

Actually that idea is more viable then most deep operations. It actually creates a situation neither of the empires can simply ignore. If the defending empire ignores it then the attacking one can spread it. If the adjacent empire ignores it then either the attacking empire or the defending empire could put troops there and spread from it.
It's a situation that almost forces every empire's hand except the instigator. Very nice. My only question is, why in gods name did you just blurt it out on the forums? Bad tactician! Last edited by Blackwolf; 2012-07-27 at 12:46 AM. |

Exactly my thoughts. And I just didn't feel like being the one guy who did it, like hiding under that wing in Afghanistan on CoD. (I actually held fire if the guy was looking at me or that I wasn't confident that I'dbeen scoped in long enough so that the killcam wouldnt revela the spot.) |

Wel of course if you go in too fast and recklessly...you'll end up causing a ruckus and martingale everyone around you. But if you go in nice and slow...Take your time and enjoy it a little...Much more can be accomplished than you originally thought.
