Will Planetside 2 take hold in China as well as it does in the west?

Maybe I'm just assuming what goes in Japan goes as well in China, but don't eastern markets generally shy away from military shooters and it's ilk?

Actually the financial partner for the asian contry is actually (( THE9 )) and its chinease if a remeber corectly they also are partner with RED5 studios those who make the game firefall !

Asians have a strange market. While they do not explicitly dislike modern shooters, they know a foreign port of a game when they see one. However, one thing that's true world-wide is that the United States, Canada and Europe produce the best video games in terms of design quality as well as audio & visual fidelity.

i remeber some years ago there was a very very large vanu CN team on markov, they were allied with some other cn outfits, and every morning around 3-4(am est) the vanu pop would sky rocket, and conts would turn purples one by one, while the nc and tr remained relitivly low poped

Wow. That Scythe is gonna rule the skies. Reaver and Mosquito pilots better use numbers to fight Vanu in the air becuase the Scythe looks to be able to out maneuver the other aircraft pretty easily. As I plan on playing Armor more then anything else I don't fear the Scythe much,doesn't look like an air to ground weapon as much as an air superiorty weapon,but our flyboys will have thier hands full in a one on one dog fight vs. Scythe.

The scythe doesn't have the speed or armor, so the maneuverability is more to avoid incoming missiles and other ordinance. The TR flyboys will figure out the real crutch of the Scythe and exploit the hell out of it.
