Q. In 2009 there was a survey that was emailed to people about the possible development of Planetside 2. What were you able to take away from that survey, and did it have an impact on what is being done now? A. j_smedley: don't remember that survey honestly. So I'd have to go with no. Additional truth by Thorbinator: Clearly the overwhelming response was "Like PS1 but prettier. Also advertise the damn thing and no BFRs" |

I rember that survey, there was one option about rate from highest to lowest what was important,
Hacking prevention was 1 and I believe that was the highest, weapon ballance, empire distinctivness, and all though I rated this as the last exotic locations and exploration travel was last. Even though I do like exploring and seing diffrent things I felt that other features and functions were more fundlemental to a good game. |

Survey actually asked stuff like whether you wanted it to be Sci-Fi like the original or if you wanted it to be more Modern Warfare. So i'm guessing most people answered more like PS1 since they stayed fairly similar. Can't believe it was way back in 2009 time flies.

The survey had a huge emphasis on adding PVE to PlanetSide. The questions seemed rather biased.
Other than the obvious "no BFRs" and 'Yes please make PS2" its good that they ignored it.

yeeha, doing this survey again was fun
 i remember when this thing hit my mailbox back in the days. damn was i excited! soe was asking us if we want another planetside game... was that really 3 years ago?
