SOE just takes the greatness out of being an actual vet... it kinda sounds like real life right now

All that means to me is there aren't enough authentic veterans to stress-test the servers. Which means more warm bodies running around. Which is a good thing.

yea, but the principle of the matter is, US vets, aren't IN before these kids.

especially because the waves are divided under each one itself. so next wave will basically be multiple invite waves for inactive vets....

When they announced that one of the preorder perks of preordering TERA was access to all the beta tests, I didn't hesitate a second. Because all I did was spend the 60$ I would have spend to buy the game on release a few months later anyway. But in this case it would be quite silly to do so, because the game is free to play. I would do it if they did a promotion like the following : "Preorder 10$ (or the Station Cash equivalent) on PS2 cosmetic items for your soldier and get priority access to the PS2 Beta!"

This way I get two things I want, I get to play the game earlier and look totally badass doing so and SOE already begins to generate revenue from their F2P model. It's a honest win-win deal, at least it's way less shady than buying a game we likely won't even bother to install because we can't handle the wait.

Right now anyone that buy PS1 just to get into beta is literally paying for the privilege to work for SOE.
