1. Are you building this computer yourself or having one built for you (Like HP, Alienware, or even a small shop)?
Building it myself. 2. What is your budget and does that include shipping/taxes? £350 inc VAT and shipping 3. Where do you live (Please list town, state, and country)? Salisbury, Wiltshire, United Kingdom 4. What do you need this computer to do (like gaming, Photoshop, and so on)? Gaming at medium settings or slightly below, internet browsing. 5. What parts will you need for the computer? List what parts specifically, saying you need everything will not do. Processor, graphics card, motherboard, 4GB (possibly 8GB) RAM 1333MHz or higher, PSU, case. 6. Are you reusing any parts for this computer? If so say what parts (make and model). SATA 500GB Hard drive (unaware of make), samsung optical drive. 7. What kind of monitor/resolution do you have or want to get to use for the computer? I'll probably resort to my 1600x1200 monitor. 8. Do you have already have a OS or do you need one? What OS is that? I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit 9. What are you looking for the motherboard to have feature wise? Like SLI, Crossfire, Firewire, USB 3.0, Sata 6.0 Gb/s, and so on. Not too picky with regards to features. Crossfire or SLI would be the only feature I'd consider, but it's not entirely necessary. 10. Any plans to overclock the CPU or GPU? No. 11. What time kind of time frame are you planning on ordering these parts? Soon™. Within the next month or so. Doesn't have to be a powerhouse and for £350 it probably won't be, all I'm looking for is an upgrade on my aged Q8200 and 9600 GS. Thanks in advance. |

Here is a quick build to give you a general idea.
Intel Core i5-3450 3.10GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail MSI B75 Mobo 430W Corsair Builder Series GeiL Black Dragon (RED LEDs) 8GB Mid tower case PALIT GeForce GTS 450 Smart Edition Total = ~£350 I would highly suggest getting more money for a graphics card. Like this GTX 460.
