Although I'm very pissed off about France's stand in the current situation, the Statue harkens back to the day when the French saved our asses in the Revolutionary War (called the War of Rebellion in England right?) and we inspired the French to revolt and depose their monarchy.

I may disagree with their current viewpoint on world events, but I will not deny their support of us at the very beginning of this great experiment we call American Democracy.

PS: I like Australian wine. Rosemont Estates Shiraz and Merlot.
