So, my question is how well SLI 570's will do against PlanetSide 2.
Right now I have SLI GTS 450's and could get 2 570's. Would it be worth it? Or should I wait and get something different?. I know the requirements aren't out yet, but an estimate would be great. I'd be able to get both cards relatively cheap. Thanks. |

Probably higher settings, not sure much beyond that.
How cheap can you get these 570s for? Unless its something like $350 or less I wouldn't bother.

$250 is pretty good TBH. I would maybe even jump on that plus its a good jump over those 450. You can probably get something like $130-$160 if you sell the 450. If PS2 by chance doesn't perform to your liking you probably won't have much of a loss from selling them even a few months from now.

yeah that's a good deal.
570's scale incredibly well in SLI too. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/584?vs=555 Thats two 580's in SLI vs a 680, as you can see the 580's dominate. 580's do perform slightly better than 570's, but they are close, especially when the 570's are slighting OC'ed. This link shows 570's in SLI vs 580's in SLI: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/307?vs=308 they are pretty close. Last edited by NumbaOneStunna; 2012-08-14 at 01:34 AM. |

In all likelihood 1 GTX570 puts you in the realm of high settings ~1080p, when they get the game running well.
Two should be more than adequate. I'm not a terribly big fan of dual-card solutions because of the secondary factors like noise and power consumption, but at $250 that's about the best performance per dollar out there.
