No there are no parachutes. If you want to drop out of your vehicle you'll have to certify into "ejection seats"

Or at least hope that you do not go splat upon hitting the ground.

The atmosphere of Auraxis is different from that on Earth. A parachute will not help any significant amount, and you would go splat upon hitting the ground.

Or something.

When you eject from an aircraft fitted with an ejection system or drop from a Galaxy, you are encased in an inertial-dampening energy sheath that allows you to land on the ground unharmed. This is how it worked in PS1.

No NDA breach here, all I did was describe how it worked in PS1. One could imply that the functionality is the same in PS2.

And grant similar benefits to other classes? I'm sorry but no. Light assault has the mobility, and Infiltards can cloak. Yes, I said Infiltards given how I feel about them, both allied and hostile. Why not give MAX's the ability to pilot starships while we're at it?

I want light assaults to be able to cert into folding glider wings that they strap onto their backs. They would replace the jump packs and allow light assaults to jump off things like towers and the tops of buildings/rocks etc., glide around and rain death from above. They could jump like that from a great height from Gals too
