First let's just get this out of the way, I am not a twitch gamer. I am nearly 40, I don't have the reflexes to twitch against kids. What I liked about the original Ps was I didn't need to compete to play. There was plenty that I could do in support roles.
Problem is, none of that is implemented in the beta yet. The gal is a shit replacement for the ams and flies like you're trying to steer a fat chick in a bunk bed. The sunderer might replace the role of the lodestar, eventually. Engineers will supposedly have deployables, but nothing like what they had from the look of the certs. Even the magrider drives like it has a load in it's shorts, so that isn't even fun anymore. All together now, IT'S BETA!!!! Yes, and from what I have seen so far, the game is aiming to cater soley to the twitchies with a handful of things to make outfits feel like they are actually able to do something cooperative. |

I read this and had images of barracks life all over again and a very real situation a squad mate did.. one evening.. any ways on to topic. I don't really agree with the whole Twitch based aspect of Planetside. I'll be blunt. I flat out SUCK at the new FPS's out there specially those Twitch based versions. But thats just my opinion. The GAL, I was in love with her in PS1, and I'm slowly rekindling that that love affair again. She's unique and as you stated yes.. its a beast to fly, but man once you get good at it.. She's well worth the ride. No pun intended. Just hang in there, your right its Still Beta and its good to see people realize that. See you on the battlefield. |

Automatic Vec Repair + Non-dedicated gunner/driver + Personal Shields + ghosthacking friendly mechanics + Medikids + etc. That all points to non-cooperative gameplay features for the typical Deathmatch-player. |
