Fungi Continent

So looking at the first 4 perspective maps..

Indar - Desert/Canyon Map
Esamir - Snow/Rocky Map
Amerish - Jungle/Vegitation Map
Searus - Volcanic Map

All are familiar environments to us living on earth....

How about a Fungi continent, with low sunlight light levels much like Esamir will have but more light coming from organic fungi of all types.

I think it would really give the map designers freedom to make some cool environments with large mushroom trees and all kind of stuff with really varied colors.

I just want to see some really alien looking continents coming down the pipe!

fungus and ferns are the 2 species of flora that thrive in less than ideal growing conditions.

+1 to this idea, would love to see a real alien looking mushroom forest, could easily be written into the game that the terraforming equipment on that particular continent reawakened some dormant spores that have contaminated/mutated with the seeds from Earth and the result has been frighteningly spectacular.

Sounds like a decent idea for Hossin. Swampy and Dim with most alien trees.

How bout no sun what so ever, and the Vegetation/fungi are the only source of light? Kinda like the Pandora nights of Avatar, but with less hippies

This is the best idea I have heard on Idea Lab yet.

If it has magic mushrooms I am for it.

With fungi you don't just have to use mushrooms, fungi comes in so many shapes and sizes that you could make some really unique flora designs.

And bioluminescence just looks cool, especially in video games.

Maybe it could be a really dark continent only lit my moon light and bioluminescence and for a certain part of the "day" the fungi could bloom really lighting the continent up??

I just really want to see some alien worlds at some point.

Yea something like that but even more alien, make the ground fungi as well or some color other than grass green, dirt brown, snow white, stone grey, or sand beige.
