Well.. it's an FPS at it's core so it's similar to other games in that sense. But the fact it's on a massive scale makes it different from any other game. Try it out! It's free

It's original in the fact that it contains large maps that allows very large amounts of players to play on at the same time. Few other FPS games can claim amount of people playing together on a local map to global map scale.

The game is still in closed beta and mechanics are always changing. So verdict still up on many aspects of what will make this game unique.
