I was looking at the website http://www.systemrequirementslab.com because i wondered if Planetside 2 was featured on it. And it is listed as Planetside 2 (beta) So i then checked my computer and got these results.
So i get 50-60 frames when just travelling in the vast emptiness, but as soon as i go to certain bases or get more than 20 people in an area fighting, i go down to 20 or lower frames. So is that all because of my RAM? Or is there a hidden issue that the website isn't showing me? Or are the stats on the website not accurate for the game? (And yes, i am using a laptop ) Last edited by Toppopia; 2012-10-14 at 09:28 PM. |

Judging by your video card I would say you are using a laptop the RAM is certainly an issue, but laptops unless made specifically for gaming will have those kind of issues. Also the 230M is not exactly the king of video cards either so that could be hurting you a little as well.

For an i7, that thing sure is slow, but yeah, their 'recommended' (not required) specs are 8 gigs of ram. You could put 8 gigs in but your computer couldn't use it since you are on an old 32 bit version of Windows XP. 32 bit OS can only manipulate a little over 3 gigs. He was right about the graphics chip also - but hey, 20 fps in bigger fights is still playable, just not optimal.
