No real Planetside Infiltrators in PS2?

As many of you might already know the Stalker Camoflauge Cloak cert (which most closely mirrored PS1 Cloaks) was removed from the visible skill tree a few patches ago. Since then many testers, but especially PS1 vets who played Infiltrators have been asking what's going on with the class and why was that and other certs removed.

Well Smed responded to someone asking today, it wasn't definitive, but I don't think the way he dismissed the certs that represented a PS1 type Infiltrator as just "ideas" was anything but discouraging to those hoping there would be a real Infiltrator class in this game.

Hamma every sneaky PS1 vet implores you to find your inner Infiltrator and uncover solid Intel on the plans of SOE for the class, and whether our worst fears are true and they've abandoned yet another key part of the original game.

nothing i guess,but maybe it would stop them from playing around with the cloaking devices all the time

Stalker Camouflage is back in the cert tree today (albeit still locked). There's hope yet...

That thing is terrifying. I keep expecting it to turn into something gross and make a loud, obnoxious noise . . . but it never does, which is somehow even worse.

Considering the way they're handling the entire class right now, no.

As long as we get options like shotguns and sniper rifles they don't have a effin' clue what infil is all about.

How about the infiltrator howitzer? He can sneak into enemy bases and set up something similar to a Flak 88, all invisible?

Oh, yes, that would be unbalanced. Like an invisible sniper.
