The LA class has jet packs for doing tricky manoeuvres, all others just have to trust the laws of gravity and fall down.
However if you are Hotdropping from the Galaxy aerial transport you take no fall damage no matter what height you jump from (a fringe benefit). They used to have gravchutes with effects in PS1 when you bailed from aircraft in PS1. They need to add the effects in this game too. As for stand alone parachutes you can just deploy when jumping off buildings, no that mess belongs in BF and not PS imho.

Same happened to me last night. I hovered over a tower for about 10 seconds telling everyone to jump out but they either didn't hear me or didn't believe that they'd be safe hotdropping by pressing e. Ended up dropping them off on a road 100m away

I wonder, is it possible to lock your galaxy like you could in PS1, and automatically eject everybody? (I'm away from my rig and my laptop can't get more than 10fps, that's why I'm asking instead of checking.) I'm thankful that my outfit are all PS1 veterans so they understand how these systems work. Still, they need something to let people know.

Your only options are
1) Falling out of a galaxy will let you take no damage 2) Equip Light Assault so you can jetback out (doing so negates the galaxy protection) 3) Cert the Kinetic Dampener thing for an individual vehicle. |

Aye true that. A campaign-like scenario (i.e. running through the open field from point A to point B with enemy tanks shelling rounds on you and enemy gunships firing salvos reducing your life to red levels) is considered normal hehe. So fun haha! :3
