We're working hard to get the patch out tonight...despite the fact that we're essentially starting from scratch at 9:30 in the evening.
Heh. Dedicated? Insane? You decide. But we're doing it.

No ETA...but our goal is "before Dawn".

Wouldn't that be convenient now.

You could run your packet-sniffer on the same box as the game!

But it won't happen. 3D operations are pretty slow when they're run by an emulator -- and remember. This is written in directX, not OpenGL, so there's no chance of Wine being able to run this game.

Well, at least not playably.

You can have packets sniffers running on your Doze box...

But anyway id rather have my sniffer running on a seperate box not eating my resources and so I can see the seperate screen

But then, i wouldnt be running a sniffer at all! mr_luc u been a very naughty boy!

www.transgaming.com

only problem with the transgaming crew is they are a little slow on adding game support but when they do add support it's normally top notch.

i use winex to play wc3 on my redhat8 machine and it's nearly flawless.

The thing is, most "linux people" tend to be computer-savvy enough to either A) have more than one system, one of which has Windows on it, B) have windows installed on another partition of their existing system, or C) some other way of getting Planetside to run without requiring a Linux version.

well there's a lot of "linux people" that while very technically savy are also very anti microsoft .. and make it a point to be ms free on all of their systems. that often includes no windows partition. i think it's going a bit overboard but whatever heh

I definitely do not suggest trying to run emulation with Planetside. PS takes enough resources as it is w/o emulation
