So many epic fights are happening now! I've felt jaded since the tech beta up until this last patch. I wanted a re-skinned version of Planetside 1 but I think this may end up being better than Planetside 1.
I cant wait to see what they add to the game. |

I think they made the right decision by focusing first on getting the basic fps mechanics right (something I heard wasn't that good in PS1) and then add more content and strategic layers later to the game.

I'll admit I was skeptical and it didn't help with awful performance on my machine a couple months ago.
Over the past month performance has become acceptable in 80% of the game for me. The only places I get bad performance (sub 25 FPS at all times) is in some of the bigger bases. Everywhere else is 30-60+ FPS. Once performance was "acceptable" I have had a lot of fun. A few of the guys I played PS1 with are enjoying it as well too. It is the first game in a long time that has had the time warp effect. "Holy shit, it's 4am!? I gotta get some sleep." I enjoy it now and can't wait for release. I am excited to see the battlefield then. PS2 has won me over. |
