Red dots on map?

so I've seen these dots on the main map like the spawn points but they're red and I was wondering if anyone knew what they are? enemy sundy maybe but I wanted to find out for sure.

Not quite sure, since there's no proper legenda and not having tested it consciously, but might be related to the infiltrator's Identify Friend of Foe (IFF) device.
