Why Subscribe ? What are the benefits ?

I searched for a really solid thread on this and couldn't find one. If your wondering about the benefits with subscription I advise checking out this run down of the benefits. http://wiki.planetside-universe.com/ps/Membership

Announced October 1st, 2012 the following items will be contained within the PlanetSide 2 Membership and cost $14.99 a month. Membership will also be included in the SOE All Access Pass

25-50% increased Resource gain.

25-50% increased XP gain.

25-50% increased passive Cert point gain.

** Note: Each of the above start at 25% and increase by 5% per month of sustained membership up to a total bonus of 50% each at 6+ months membership.
** The above bonuses are passive and are stackable with boost implants.

Priority login queue

Early Access to new cosmetic items on the Store

500 Station cash per Month

Price will be $14.99 / month

A couple notes on this revised plan:

You'll notice that we've removed the previous membership benefit of "increased Resource pool caps", this was as a direct result to community feedback. We thought about this a lot and decided it did give a potential gameplay advantage to members. We removed this benefit and added 500 SC to the membership offering to compensate for the removal.

Several of the benefits have an increasing value the longer you maintain your membership. If you buy a multi-month sku you will be automatically elevated to the bonus value for the last month of that sku, so if you bought a 6-month membership sku you would immediately receive the 50% increased Cert gain. If your membership lapses you will have 30 days to reestablish your membership to retain the increased bonus amounts.

Why subscribe?

You think the benefits are worth it.

What are the benefits?

You listed them yourself.

what a strange thread you created.

I think he was trying to be helpful and give us valuable information we did not ask for.

He did that quite well I would say.

I will wait to see how bad the queues get before I subscribe or not. It is my only motivator.

I was simply stating the EXACT benefits of subscription for everyone's information. Most of the threads I found that contained anything on the forum in regards to subscription were half assembled. It's a PSA, nothing more.

Thanks Minor, like I said I did a search, and feel free to type in "Planetside 2 Subscription" or any mix of a jumble of search terms to come up with something as concrete as this, which is not complete because it is based on a wiki.

Cant subscribe ... so no benefits regardless

Simply because the only payment option is based on a outdated banking policy that results in rejection of card for some people.

So, till paypal implemented, no subbing, no benefits

Have you called your CC/Bank to allow the verification of this transaction through SOE ? If the CC/Bank wont allow it the next best choice is to get a verified gift card through a major bank that will.

So if you can't get your bank to verify the the first CC. Call around other banks to see if any will issue you a gift card usable internationally. My advice is to get a Amex GC for 14.99 and hope it works.

Someone told me that 7-11 corner store chains in the USA have SOE smedbucks cards that are worth x2 purchase price in SC when you redeem them.

Also, for sure they will take gift credit cards also found at 7-11.

Buy a 25$ card, get a sub, add free cheese n chili, then jack into a subbed n smedbucked Liberator!

Players from different countries don't get this option.

I subscribed for 6 months

I'd like to actually play tonight

And broken down, for me, £46.14 is around 25 Pence a day. You can't even buy a newspaper for that

See you out there

not everyone is in US
the 0$ authentication banking policy is much like measuring things with miles in US, while rest of the world is in metric system and no longer use miles as measure of distance.

Same goes 0$ authentication is just unnecessary authentication check.

Again I would bring up American Express (AMEX) gift cards which are known internationally and almost never turned down for purchases.

I just did a search for these smedbuck 7-11 cards, then realized I literally typed "Smedbucks" and then did another more productive search. Unfortunately the 2X deal ended on the 18th. So don't bother rushing out to 7-11 to double your smedbucks.

Still could be a way round cc issues for US people.
