Planetside 2 and the EU

ok guys. 2 days in and the EU servers are still unplayable. if you are not dealing with huge warping problems then its the good old screen flash/world vanish problem. this needs fixing asap as i am seeing less and less people playing.

how are the US servers running? any problems? or is it just EU getting stuffed with bad servers/service.

im loving the game when i can play it, but atm that isnt much due to unplayability 98% of the time

Yes, me too.

I tried again this afternoon but I had to give up. Players appearing and disappearing in front of me .... destroying a turret and then getting the xp notificatino 30 seconds later ...... sunderers flying through the air.

Sigh, of all the issues I didn't expect this after it doing so well in beta.

US servers seem fine. A bit of warping when a full server is hitting the same area but I only saw that the first night. Radarx said they are working on Euro servers now. Maybe try the US servers in the meantime.

Ive seen a little bit of warping but i kind of expected this with some people playing on really low fps and probably a few fixable mistakes in the code due to the rush to launch that will be sorted out quite quickly.

Are you saying this is unique to the european servers?

Not noticed any of the world disappearing bug at all since ages ago in beta. Sounds more like a hardware/driver issue on your machine than a server problem. Also something they will probably patch quite quickly if it is common enough...

it definitely isnt my machine. ran perfect in beta and 90% of players on EU servers have same problems. my fps is around 100+ and huge fights hits about 40fps. its the servers that need looking at. US ones seem ok from reports iv heard.

I've had the same. The disappearing world trick seems almost as if your character has half fallen through and is clipping on the mesh. I wouldn't be surprised if that and the poor server performance are connected.

I get the same on Miller, it's terrible. It was fine in beta...

just had a tweet from Planetside saying they are looking in to the EU server problems. they have said this since yesterday. allEU servers are the same. my main is on miller but i have char's on teh 2 newer ones and them servers have the same problems.

Been seeing A LOT of warping today. It's almost like a wack-a-mole game.

There isnt all that much warping even.

I have been playing on Miller and it was terrible at first.

I don't know if something was fixed server-side and it was pure coincidence, but I clocked my GPU back to its default settings (GTX 460 which I had overclocked up to 810-default is 650) and hey presto, most of the warping/vanishing seemed to stop.

Not sure how that would affect things, but if you are overclocking, it might be worth a try if you are still having problems. As I say, might just be coincidence.

Stuff happens Hamma .... the concerning thing was the confusing message as to where we had to go to get any action.

One source saying go Proseiben whereas me and many others don't have any customer/provider relationship with them at all, but we do with SOE.

Yes, just seen that.

It was actually last night when I clocked it back. Spent a good few hours playing with no discernible problems after I had done it. (And once I finally got on the frickin server!)

Might have a go at cranking it all back up and maxing graphics out tonight, see what happens.

I might even be able to hit someone now and then.
