Three infiltrator/general questions

(Please note I did google these things and did not find answers to them, so I'm posting here)

1) How do outlines work when it comes to cloaked infiltrators? I'm new to the game, and if anyone has a video link about this (that I couldn't quite find) then I'd love to see how that works, and how exactly people can see you when you're cloaked...it's become a bit frustrating

2) I know there are headshots in the game, but do they just give you extra XP and score, or do they actually do more damage? If so, then by how much?

3) When you are experiencing lag on yours, the enemy players', or the server's end, does the hit recognition still work as it did in Planetside 1? That is, if you hit them in *your* perspective during the lag-time, then those hits will register once your lag-time ends, and vice versa for enemies shooting you? Or can it seem like you've pumped a ton of shots into the enemy and then it ends up that they will never register because it was *you* that was lagging, or something...?

1) It depends on Graphics Quality settings. Sorry no video link on hand, but you can easily see for yourself by looking at friendly Infiltrators messing around at the warp gate, or your own arm and weapon when you cloak. I can often see cloaked Infiltrators if I saw them cloak and keep them in sight, otherwise they're harder to spot, but not impossible. In terms of advice use the PS2 cloak to compliment being sneaky, don't rely on it alone to conceal you.

2) I can't recall the exact extra damage to headshots, but yes they do much more damage. Bolt Action Sniper Rifles will one shot kill with a headshot on any Infantry except a MAX and Heavy Assault with it's class shield up. Headshot kills give 10% more exp.

3) Not sure.

to answer your 3rd question players will often 'warp' as its called when they are lagging so its almost nearly impossible to hit them unless you get a few good rounds off.

Re: Three infiltrator/general questions

Thanks a million to you both - my girlfriend and I have started kicking ass in part thanks to your responses!

Another question though: What's up with unlocking the TX1-FB Repeater? I can't even find this gun online. It's a secondary weapon for the Infiltrator.

What does FB stand for? Why can't I purchase it with certs or SC?

EDIT: Also I've been trying to look up sniper rifle stats...but I actually don't trust the ones in game, nor the ones here on the webs. This is all I could find for stat comparisons:

http://www.planetside-universe.com/s...653#post858653

Does anyone know if these are right? In game it shows the HSR-1, for example, to have nil fire rate, but insanely high damage. Is that true though, given that its description shows it as a super high fire rate both here and in game??

I'm not sure I only play Vanu atm, I really wish I could unlock a Repeater though as our pistol the "Beamer" is atrocious and the "Manticore little better. There's a third pistol in the cert tree for VS which cannot be purchased yet as well. Might be these are new pistols which will be available soon, but beyond that I doubt anyone not working for SOE could tell you more.

I wouldn't trust the stat bars for weapons, they were completely arbitrary and meaningless in beta, I doubt they're an accurate measure of a weapon now.
