When will warpgates become the intercontinental transport method?

I think he means like in PS1. Where you drive into the warp gate.. Brings up a global map, you select your destination and ping.. Off you go. I personally don't think we will see that until the next round of continents, after all what is the point of an elaborate system like that when you can only ever warp into one place on the continent? That's something I'm sure will change in the future.

Seeing as warpgates have that shiny column in the middle of em i think it's safe to say, they're working on it.

If you will not be able to use warpgates in the future it would beg the question why they are there in the first place. They are "gates" afterall.

True but in a recent fan-site interview purrfectstorm gave she seemed unsure that it was even planned.

But it would be strange if such a big thing was planned for the near future and only 5 guys knew about it...
