When I first started playing Planetside back in the old days, I always saw customer support as these fun killing pricks that were always looking to screw the customer over. The last two days though have showed me that SOE customer support is actually pretty good.
First, I had bought a bunch of junk for my Sundy then realized I couldn't equip it all at the same time. So I submitted a ticket and they refunded my cash. Decent of them. That was last night. This morning I get on to find my station cash drained to 400 points. I was floored. I had almost 4000 when I went to bed last night. Turned out my 8 year old got onto his character(which honestly I should have known better than to let him make) and bought a bunch of weapons, not realizing it was actual money he was spending. So I went crawling back to customer support again fully expecting to get a "sorry, we just gave you back station cash last night, suck an egg." But sure enough they refunded me 3500 station cash. Pretty awesome on there part since they really didn't have to. So for once I'm singing customer supports praises. I also realized that it helps to write an email like an adult talking to another adult about an issue rather than ranting like a lunatic on the forums about things like I did in PS1. So kudos SOE for proving to at least one customer you aren't a soulless cash guzzling monster. You rock. |

Nice.
You know they need to add: cannot be used with any other item in this slot or can only use one utility/defense... item at a time and it would save so much trouble. I still get tempted buying extra ammo capabilities, then I realize I would have to dump my armor to do it. How hard would it be for them to add those few words? |

I was one of the many who lost their Alpha Squad booster after trialing a weapon, and additionally I didn't have my "Veteran" title or decals. I submitted a ticket and the next day had my booster back, and a few days later had my Vet title. Nice quick work, thanks guys.

I had the "bought a bunch of crap for my Sunderer" issue and ticketed it two days ago... still waiting for a reply. I did get an email that basically said they've got a lot of tickets to deal with and to hold on, which is understandable... but it's on the third day now. Still hopeful of a refund... there's no indication ingame that you can't use hubs, grills and lights together until after you purchase them. That needs addressing, or people will continue to make the same mistake.

Agree. Common sense stuff that may seem obvious to them (obviously) isn't so obvious to some of us.
There are many other examples of this as well that can be easily fixed, and probably save them a lot of time and money addressing them, instead of having to deal with the fallout on a case-by-case basis, that isn't fun for either party. |

Well, they are definetly not EA.
One thing Sony has is decent CSR, I got a black friday reimbursement after Steam's system fucked up on my purchase, it noted "one time courtesy". I guess that is good enough. |
