I certed the first level of the proximity repair for my sundy, and it hasn't been doing anything as far as i can tell. Damaged vehicles being close didn't seem to automatically get repaired.
So my question is: Is it bugged? Or does the first level of proximity repair just suck? And if so, does it get any better or am i better off going with something else in that slot? |

I think it takes a while for the first repair to click off. I think they purposely made it slow so vehicles couldn't park near a sunderer and be quasi-invulnerable. The radius is super tiny as well.
That's why I didn't get this, aside from the fact that every tanker is an engineer. |

I haven't noticed any xp from this, nor results from healing nearby veh's. The description says 30 metres, so that radius isn't that small.
In beta I saw it work while a sundy was travelling in the midst of an armour column. I don't think it works, I'm going to try to test it out in foolproof conditions tonight. |

Info from using it in beta follows:
You don't get exp from repairing with it. At maximum upgrade it's slower than unupgraded engy tool. Points are better spent in upgrading your engy tool.

A friendly armor column drove up to my S-AMS with Ammo Dispenser yesterday and decided to park their line of tanks in front of me. The zerg spawned at my AMS, ran past the tanks (giving reps as needed) and into the battle. The tanks kept the area around my AMS clear from enemy vehicles and aircraft, and simply backed up to me when they needed ammo. It worked well for everyone and I got a Battle Rank from all the XP. |

When I get to use my sundy I never leave it if there's threats around. Unless it's a pure Inf battle in say a biolab you'll never find me more than a few steps away doing repairs, ammo drops, MAX AA, or giving what support I can in the guns. |
