Hey guys,
I am playing with the thought to unlock slugs for my scattercannon-MAX, but I don't want to waste 500 certs on something that might suck. I searched youtube for a vid but couldn't find anything - has anyone tried it yet? If I get them, they need to stay accurate even when I move so that I can kill TR and VS while on the run, I don't want to crouch while shooting as a MAX Are other Shotguns with slugs usually accurate or not? 1. Buy two grinders
2. Buy slugs for both 3. Have fun In serious its worth, it adds some range to the point blank shotguns, i would say its effective range goes from around 5m, without slugs to about 10-20m with them, it seems to kill quicker to. Your not going to start sniping people, but it will help against inf trying to run away, they are more accurate though. |

Ive been playing dual scattercannon with slugs and extended mags for almost 2 weeks now. Here are my thoughts.
My k/d i feel hasnt really changed with them but i feel much more versatile on the battlefield and find myself heading into situations i would never venture into with pellets but with slugs i make it work. You will not be sniping people and they are not pin point accurate by any means. You will be hindered slightly more up close with lack of pellet spread you really have to get good at aiming left or right arm individually when they are in real tight. So far my biggest problem has been recoil or the CoF while being hit. With pellets i never noticed this but with slugs your rounds will start missing and flying different than where your aiming when you are firing fast, moving and or being hit while firing. Overall id say they are worth it foe the simple fact that they can kill just as quick as pellets (when they hit on target) and out to greater distances. If your going to be charging into QCB hell storm though Id stick with the 00 shot. |

Thanks, that's a very helpful review of the slugs... Now I just have to figure out if I want them or not
I have to think about it until I have the 500 certs :> Edit: I might buy a hacksaw for the close encounters and buy the slugs for the scattercannon for the other hand to fit every situation

Hey go for it man, game is all about customization. One warning though for that tactic, it was too difficult for me to train my right finger to hold down for auto hacksaw while simultaneously using my left finger to click individually for semi auto scat fire. But i may just have shitty finger dexterity.

I use Slugs on my Scattercannon(good idea) and Grinder(bad idea).
They are 2-3 hit kills on normal infantry, always 2 hit if either is a headshot. You can find MAX weapon info here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...xMUJHNXc#gid=0 Scattercannon/Mattock has a minimum CoF of 4, Hacksaw has 4.5 and Grinder has 4.8. In comparison, the OHK sniper rifles have a minimum hipfire CoF of 4.5. Shotguns also have a CoF of 4, but theirs isn't properly represented either so you can't really see it to compare. They are far from perfectly reliable, however the entire damage of the scattercannon is delivered in one hit rather than a ton of pellets that often deviate 15-45 degrees away from the direction you were pointing. Overall it seems to increase your effective range by 2 or 3 times, though you won't be quite as capable at 0-5m. |

Grinder is a no go for Slug. Too innacurate. I prefer pellets anyway, since I use my scattermax (Dual grinder) most of the time in tighter locations, while going dual Bustar/falcon on the outside.
