Anyone else thinks that, despite the initial rave recpetion of amerish it is turning into a version of Wacky Races .... tank zerg traffic jams, witrh lots of bumping and grinding when moving from one cap to the next.
At present I am preferring Indar and Esamir. |

Hmm, I wouldn't want to say best balanced continent (that would suggest an overall thing), since it's really three separate continents with different playstyles in each section hinging around one particular territory (I don't need to name it for you to know which one I'm talking about - that says enough). And the north has a clear advantage for its empire due to layout and playstyle. It is hard to expand and maintain a presence in any of the areas aside from the southeast, since you can use the chokepoints against the south east warpgate holder. That's something you can't do with the two other regions.
For the current situation of each empire holding on to one warpgate, to say it's balanced game play wise is a bit stretching it. Maybe from the perspective of playstyles possible on a continent, yes, but that's not enough to balance a continent's terrain, IMO. I'd personally feel there could be some "ancient reefs" creating choke points and valleys in the north. Must say I haven't fought over the changed border areas much though (spent more time on Amerish and Esamir). |

Well the biggest problem with Northern Indar is the HUGEASS Canyon that seperates the Warpgate from two Major Facilities...
Probably wouldn't push the South-east as hard if the Vanu weren't taking advantage of this massive detour for ground forces by constantly leapfroging outposts with teams of Scythes, then spawning Mags AT said outposts... |

We play on Waterson, and it gets bad. TR usually own Amerish. At least they do when ever I log on. I never get to experience any of it, exept the territories surrounding VS gate. That 10% bonus to air cost is insane, and I usually see 3x the amount of mosquitoes in the air than reavers or Sythes |

I play Woodman, I have to agree that each faction has a continent that it somewhat can own pretty much of the time. Its like letting the devs know hey we want a santuary LOL. I play the VS and we own Esamir most of the time. Its just the open space gives our mags the room to move, dodge and get to bases alot quicker. But to me it always comes down to a battle of attrition, if your faction is loosing bases then your resources arent replenished as fast, if a faction is being pushed to a warp gate and not getting as many resources then when they respawn to get that tank they just dont have the money.
