Exclamation Short Beta-Tester Question Concerning Piloting

To anyone that is presently beta-testing PS:

Is one able to switch to a joy/flightstick during the game? i.e. - switch to the Microsoft Sidewinder Flightstick as soon as you hop onto a Reaver or Mosquito.

If anyone can answer this, it would be greatly appreciated, and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that is wondering about this issue. Depending on a yes or no answer will determine whether or not I go out and buy a flightstick.

Betatesters can't answer questions like this, but the FAQ does claim joysticks will be supported.

Beta testers sign a Non Discolsure Agreement so they can't answer your questions.

However in the past it was stated that Joysticks would be supported.

That hasn't stopped them leaking out info before. Non-Disclosure agreement? Hah! What's that?

Anyway, thanks for clearing that up... this thread can now drift away... ever so slowly.

Goodbye, dear topic.

I would wait until you play the game and see if you would even want to use a joystick instead of a mouse. It's been my experience that if it's designed to use a mouse, you're usually better off doing so from a control standpoint /shrug

There will be joystick support, although we aren't sure how it will all technically work.
