So far I have been using the Orion. It has equal dmg, fast rate of fire, and nice reload speed. I have the Ursa and Lashed unlocked with SC. SV88. I hear mixed msgs for best gun to use.
And insight on what u HA use and why? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 |

Probably not going to be the best/most useful of answers here, but i'd say try a few out on trial and use whichever best fits your playstyle.
The main thing is, technically every gun is as good as every other, so there's no "best" gun. It just depends on whether a particular gun is best suited to what you're good at. If you're good at CQC, you're going to want a gun with good fire rate and such, and that's often going to be a completely different gun than if you're better at mid range, where you're more likely to want accuracy and low recoil. Hell, you might be good at both but still want a different gun for each. Unfortunately I can't help more than that since I don't play a VS HA (thus I don't know the guns). |

Well, of the ones you mention, the Lasher is the stand out 'different' one as it has an AOE effect. So it's situationally very useful, but against single targets the actual ROF/damage per shot is less than the LMGs.
As Shade has said, none of the weapon options are simply 'better' - they tend to be combinations of visible tweaks to the main stats, tweaks to the stats that aren't displayed (like recoil, cof and bloom etc) and differences in the attachments you can cert into. Sorry if that isn't helpful, but another way of replying would be to say "the default guns are fine, you can stick with them if you like them, or try the others to see if you like a particular flavour" Personally for HW I went for the Flare for short/mid range engagements (with the 2x reflex sight) and the Eidolon Battle rifle for mid/longer range engagements (those fights where I'm also trying to suppress ground vehicles/air and so don't want to just go infiltrator to snipe). You won't gimp yourself with any particular gun, equally there aren't any that are measurably superior to the other choices. |

I can speak for anyone who's fought a Vanu HA with a Lasher.. It's just freaky. Those blasted orbs shooting at you is just as distracting as it is deadly. The Orion is an amazing gun in and of itself (I played a little VS in Beta, but I'm hardcore TR ); so if you're feeling a little cheap then just upgrade it a little bit and you've got a killing machine.

I'm an NC HA so I can't really comment on the VS LMGs, but I can talk about launchers and suit upgrades a little.
With launchers, the default ones are pretty good, and nice for anti-infantry. The Decimator does slightly more damage, but is slower (and thus has a more severe drop), slightly less accurate, and your launcher ammo capacity drops by one when using it. If you're engaging armor or inf up close and have ammo support, it's probably superior. Otherwise, the default launcher may be better usually. The Annihilator is good for long-distance AV and AA fights where you have ammo or sundy support nearby. I wouldn't carry it until you get in those situations though, as the lack of dumbfire and slow lock time is a major drawback in many circumstances. I haven't used the AA or AV only launchers. If you were going to get one, I'd get the AA, but YMMV, and they do less DMG than stock launchers and have massive dumbfire drop IIRC. I prefer the stock launcher/deci, and then anni for those long distance fights. As far as suit certs go, the stats vary about NMG/Adrenaline/Resist. I personally like NMG because you can use it reactively and it works as an overshield, whereas resist needs to be preemptively turned on for max effectiveness (which can be higher than NMG and ADR). IIRC, Adrenaline has a longer recharge than NMG, but regens with each kill. I haven't tired nanoweave, but it can make a difference between being one shotted or getting to safety. I have the +2 rocket ammo normally equipped, and may go for +3. I find rockets very useful, but you may have a different style. During CQC tower/base spamfests, I switch to +1 nade. As far as the medkit goes, get the 50 cert instant heal one if you get anything. However, C4 is better IMHO. C4 is totally worth it. With it, you can take out a sundy or a tank or two, ambush maxes, or take out parked planes. If, like me, you strive to be a walking WMD (rather than just an up-armored soldier), 2x C4 is for you. That's everything I can think of... |

If you are looking for short/mid domination, the flare is an excellent choice but its recoil bloom makes it highly unsuitable for full auto unless they are right ontop of you.
Longer range you will find the SVA-88 is an absolute beast of a gun, high accuracy slightly lower rof and average damage per bullet makes it a mid/long monster. Those are the only 2 ha lmgs i have prolific experience with. |
