Arrow The most important question ever.

Well maybe not the most important but it's important to me!

I want to know how realistic pilotting air transport/combat vehicles are? Is there a sophisticated throttle or are there just slow/medium/fast speeds etc? Are there air brakes? flaps? Can you roll onto your side to turn faster? Anything like a flight simulator where it takes actual skill to pilot or are the controls real basic (move forward, accend, decend, straffe etc) so any noob could pilot as good as anyone else?

Thanks!

Very few people have a direct knowledge of piloting or any of the other in-game features, and those that do know, aren't allowed to discuss it.

I get the impression from reading, that the things you discussed regarding actual piloting skills, do not exist. I think it's just jump in, take off, and fly. Similar to what you see in Tribes 2.

But I am not one of the people that has a first-hand knowledge of in-game specifics, so don't quote me.

The landing is semi-automated, and fully if the pilot bails. From what I've seen in videos, no it's not too realistic.

Anyhow, all I'll say is I am happy with the system, and it definitely isn't "boating" as the devs lead us to believe.

Well from some vids i saw i can tell you the throtle system is indeed cool. You can adjust it to go 100%, 10% or anything in between. Combine that with Kiwi's comment and perhaps the flight system is indeed l33t shiznit!
