Welcome news. I hope the holiday delay gave them a nice, long list of people to kick to the digital curb. Not that it's schadenfreude, or anything.

My god man! This is going to make my day. Can't wait till I see a fair fight again in a big battle. Or to get a chance to defend a base without over half of the defenders vanish.

Yesterday (maybe on Sat) my platoon was going to deny a cont cap for as long as possible by taking an undefended Crown. The moment we got resistance (after all points capped, air covered, and spawn room guarded) a lone jackass crashed every single person there but maybe 5-10. It was a planed crash and timed near perfectly with their counter attack to maximize their numbers against what was left of us.

woot,
some NC *coughDVS* were just doing it on Esamir on Waterson.

EDIT: I really hope they ban the guys who admitted to it that are rank 100. Just because they're a vocal member of the community, and the leader of a rather large outfit, shouldn't mean that they don't deserve to be banned as well. *Not talking about Waterson server*

At least they are easy to tell from a normal crash. If the game is running weird or my FPS is tanking I know that a crash is going to happen. But a no warning freeze is a dead give away of bad doings.

To be honest Im starting to think that some of the lag I see might be some kind of thing as well.
Is lag in PS2 seen as everything moving is jumping and skipping around the map? Not like a small stutter but MASSIVE jumps, skips, and bending/morphing models.

I have video if you want to see it. But it'll take a while to edit, upload, and process.

Is this that crash where all of a sudden units stop dead in mid air etc?

I know they can just create new accounts etc but I'd love to see banned players up on a PS2 wall of shame so we can get a tiny bit of satisfaction in knowing a tiny bit of justice was served.

But I can also see that not happening, might not want to be showing that there were so many.

In any case, gw PS2 team, at least we are back in to action mode.

Banning in this game is pointless.

Sony needs to have some PREVENTION mechanism. There's no excuse as I'm sure many will be back. The hackers are still around.

This is a case of them exploiting a bug - a bug is something that happened unintentionally.

That being said there almost certainly needs to be methods to prevent hacks.
