Jump Jets Are Bugged (not the bug you're thinking). Video inside.

TL;DR: Light Assault's jump jets are working at certification level 6, regardless of your current certification level. I had thought that the continued upward motion you maintained after your fuel level depleted was inertia. I don't think that anymore.
