One of the many things I'd like to see return. It was nice to see where your bullets were going, and I'd imagine it would look great in the Forgelight engine.
Anyone else miss the tracers or is it just me?

I've noticed very subtle bullet tracers here and there, but I was meaning more akin to PS1. Every shot was able to be seen and was your empire's color. Was especially useful for finding those damn snipers...
I know vehicles have noticeable tracers though, they look great.

Id LOVE to see more tracer fire. Iv been playing around with slugs on a shotgun using a 4X scope (for tower defending) and only every other shot has a tracer. This makes long range fire hard as fuck to adjust for. The drop and recoil is bad enough when trying to pick off bastards at the bottom of a tower, but without being able to see half of my shots land it's almost impossible to kill with the 3 body shots needed.
Will say that slugs make a perfect counter to the idiots drop podding on the top of the towers. Bang bang bang and free hate mail. |

night fighting i see plenty of tracer fire. looks awesome. to keep it with modern day rounds one in every 3-4 rounds is tipped with tracer. looks about the same in ps2 i think. looks awesome as is i think.

this is true but i think mainly on large caliber weapons for tracking purposes lol.
WW2 is modern day. wasnt that long ago :P joking aside, i like ps2 traces as they are. just about right. if they had more then night time would look a mess, millions of flashing rounds all over. have to remember ps2 is a lot bigger then ps1

Tracers to track snipers would be nice for the target but I'm sorry as a sniper I would never use a tracer for that exact reason. Using a high powered scope I can see where my rounds hit to where I aimed and adjust fire from there and a good sniper can use the mil dots in comparison to the size of his target to determine distance and adjust from there making tracers unimportant to a good sniper. Inf should have every 3rd round a tracer so they can adjust on the fly as they arent about stealth, but snipers would not want it. It is far to much of a liability to us.

The customization of tracers in PS2 could be another station cash opportunity. Personally I'd prefer no tracers until the last five rounds of my magazine.
