An Idea maybe good maybe not so good.
Should the Ultimate Empire Showdown and or other special events take place on a less populated server. Maybe even have one of the least populated servers be turned into a neutral event server or test server. Everyone can create a character on this server and all events or test would be first come first serve. |

But my main is on Cobalt, and I can't change server before 30th (if SOE doesn't change his plans)... And I really wouldn't like to create a new character just for the event... |

They should never ever have made this a Connery-only event. It's a big mistake because you basically say "go play with yourself" to the rest of your player base, not smart.
I know for instance that many within my outfit here in Europe feel pretty much left in the cold and are quite pissed about this whole event. And if your new player event is pissing off your current customers than you're clearly doing something wrong as a marketing team. There are multiple ways they could have prevented this without breaking a leg in your marketing budget. Providing an event template/set-up for local server communities to organize their own for instance. Or have a dedicated event server temporarily up over multiple time zones. With events like these you have to go global or don't do them at all. |
