I've previously simulated the firing of guns to produce recoil plots for various CODs, and would like to do the same for PS2.
Firstly, would you like to see such plots? Examples of my COD work at http://denkirson.proboards.com/index...ay&thread=2699 and at http://denkirson.proboards.com/index...ay&thread=3256 Here's a sample from MW3: Simulation of 100 ten round bursts; rounds 1-3 in green. Automatic Rifles (ironic that I hated MW3 and only played for 8 hours before selling the game) Secondly - To be able to do so, I will need to have a pretty decent understanding of the recoil mechanics, and also include the effects of the Cone of Fire. I've been looking into this a bit more, and I think that there is a bit more to this than meets the eye. I'll not be producing any plots until I'm sure that I'm on the right track.
The plots on the official forum are a good effort, but they only cover hipfire, not ADS, and the author has so far been a bit shy about his methods. |

Den Kirson's Proboard forum is the best place for game mechanics discussions, in my experience; I think that I'll ask Den for advice; he's delved into the stats already - there are variables for Recoil Angle min-max and Recoil Tolerance that exist as well. |
