NC Theme Orchestral, v2.0

An update of my previous orchestral arrangement of the New Conglomerate theme from Planetside 2. Improvements were made based on some feedback from replies on the PS2 Official Forums.

I'm not quite sure how to describe what I was trying to do, but I guess you could go with "the NC theme as written by a TR composer".

Better with headphones.
Hope you enjoy it, and of course, constructive feedback is always welcome.

Really nice!
What VST:s did you use?
And did you play this by ear or do you have sheets/MIDI files?

I used Edirol Orchestral for this piece.

I arranged it by ear, although all that really entails is that I made sure that the first note was the same pitch as first note of the original (PS2) theme. The rest was just making sure the theme sounded like, well, the theme.

Very dramatic Code, decent follow up to that 30s version from before, might want to speed up the tempo just a bit more as time progresses. Pick up speed, so to speak. Still kinda feels like the intro to something greater actually.

Are you planning to continue working on it, say up to 3-4 minute length?

It's an idea, I might try experiment with it.

Now I just need to figure out how to do it without having to shuffle all the notes around. o

If I had more free time, I'd say so, but my real life is starting to get in the way. :/

Ok, thx for the answers! I myself still use Miroslav Philharmonik even though it's getting quite old... :P

That's really awesome Code... I'd love the NC to have a few orchestra pieces like that.

As much as I love the Rock Star feel of the NC, I do get pretty jealous of the TR when I hear how epic their soundtrack is. I'd much rather be charging the Crown with a full orchestra behind me than Metallica, but maybe that's just me .

Hmm... could you copy/paste parts and edit those?

Pfft, who needs real life when they have a hobby!

I like the cymbals most. They wake you up when they hit.

The main melody and drums seems a bit muted. I much prefer them to be louder.

At least as loud as the opening part.

SOE keep forcing the guitar on the official theme. It's just not suited for the tune. This proves it, and thanks for posting it.
