Hello,
I've been running my HA alot more then usual of late over the eng, but I've been wondering on the shielding options and which of those options more experienced HA are finding works better. NMG/AS/RS? I've got 4 ranks into the NMG but I'm not overly convinced it may be the right choice. And which suit slot combos are most generally running? I had nanoweave up to 4 ranks but am torn now between munitions pouch and flak armor. Any input would be appreciated. Edit: ALso been wondering if the nanoweave bonus applies to the NMG when it is activated. Last edited by CraazyCanuck; 2013-02-14 at 12:50 PM. |

I think a lot of people use the NMG, but i've seen people swear by the resist shield. I use the NMG myself so I can't really go into that more, but I think it generally comes down to a playstyle difference.
For suit, I use nanoweave. Flak armour is also a good choice, but generally I find nanoweave to be good for myself personally, and I just tank grenades with my shield instead. This is on my NC HA anyway, with my TR HA I went with munitions pouch instead, but I haven't really spent much time with it yet to determine whether it makes a decent difference or not (plus I only have the first level at the minute). I assume nanoweave just applies to the base HP. |

I assumed the same but one could always hope.
With the acquistion of the Annihilator I have dumped points into munitions pouch when out and about with the improved reload time, and switch to nano on CQC base attack/defense. But RS keeps me wondering. AS is too expensive and imo should be based on damage done and not kills. Then it might be worth the certs. Last edited by CraazyCanuck; 2013-02-14 at 01:15 PM. |

Ive gone RS and nano armour - it works for me with my play style.
You are probably aware that you can either use nano armour OR flak armour but not both. If you are looking at two different loadouts, thats fine. Nano for bullet storms and flak for splosions. Ammo pouch is cool if you live long enough to use it though. |

i did weapons test in nmg, and rs. found that both were equal in bullets to kill. 13 shots fired from a tmg50 to kill someone with rs and nmg on. also to note was the very fast recharge time on the rs. nmg will drop after 750 damage/4 to 5 shots.so it has its perks aswell, but with a longer recharge timer.

I like the idea of a faster recharge time. Too often that is what finishes me, not the first guy, but the guy behind him as he takes advantage of the depleted shield when in those face to face cqc. |
