The video said that you have played for a few months and you STILL don't know crap? The first things I do with every game I play are
1- Read up on it before buying/downloading (reviews and skulk around forums for complaints)
2- Get to know the options menu
3- Run around like an idiot.
I learned everything I needed to know about the game in about a week. Still can't fly worth a damn or know the best recent tactics for defending/attacking but I know just about how everything works and how to do what needs done. If it takes you months to learn anything past standing on a point and shooting stuff then PS2 may not be the game for you.
The best way to learn a game is to play it, and to do that is to get with people that do the same. Join an outfit and role with them as much as you can. Follow orders, do as you're told, and help the team. I often stand in a back room and do nothing but repair/heal others. That's something I am proud of because that is something that can win big fights. Some times I even stand with the snipers as an engie and just lob smoke grenades at an enemy spawns roof or at where they are grouped at. It forces them to spread out while our guys have an easier time picking them off with them blinded.
