What happened to the fronend Voice UI

Ok, so whatever happened to the volume bars and mute buttons on the actual gameplay screen for people using the ingame chat. I'm usually in public squads, and one of the problems is people having wildly different mic volumes. Used to be you could hit ALT and just adjust the volume right from the main screen, but it seems those options got removed?
