Re: [Suggestion] 3D Radar for Aircraft

To people who do nothing but dogfight, this is a huge issue. To me the game is to a point where all I do is fly, and my biggest complaint about that part of the game is lack of strategic info provided.
Another issue, pilots work on more then one axis. If I get a damage indicator from behind I have no idea if he's at the flight ceiling or the ground. They all ready warn us of damage, instead of making us about face have a giant half-sphere like field of view to scan for threats, they could at least tell us if it's above or below us. To me it's a change as simple as different colored damage on that indicator by your cursor.
Radar is also an issue and seeing as there are perks that reduce your aircraft radar signature I don't see how it could be considered OP. If you don't like it, choose the counter all ready in the game for it. But when a lot of dogfights are reduced to hovering in bazar loops and spins having more accurate radar would be phenomenal.
You can't just change the color of the aircraft on your minimap though, because it all ready changes for empire, squad etc. You could maybe make the icon smaller or larger as it changes with altitude. Or a lil horizontal bar underneath it with a vertical line marking elevation, if it's center they're your level, left under you, right over you. If that's too much clutter you could make the color in that aircraft icon brighter, like glow to the left or right side depending on elevation. Or maybe small dots to the right and left of the aircraft that change color/brightness.
There are TONS of ways to implement this, just depends on choice
Edit: And cockpit look is a great tool, but very situational. Using it restricts your craft's movement and in actual fights seconds lost are hitpoints lost.
