PS advertising a little dull? (PC Gamer)

Ive noticed in the latest PC Gamer issue that they continue to buy the first two pages with a fold out, yet they use the old grainy pictures of all the NC tanks and soliers lined up. They have used this for a few months now, the exact same add.

Now why dont they use an atleast impressive screenshot or something for the main attraction of the add, I mean if I didnt know abut PS that add would not attract me...

Think back to the big shot that Sierra used for Tribes 2 the month before release, a big sharp picture that showed a huge landscape with bases and about 30+ players spread out over it fighting, was much better. Is someone asleep at the marketing desk at sony? wasting wasting money...

All of the ads I've seen, would convince me *not* to buy the game. It looks like a garage game to me (from the ads).

not only that but if you look at the TR ad next to big picture you will notice that it is a picture of a Vanu. LOL i find it funny.

for some reason they left it out of the huge 2003 preview, which had a list of like 150 games that will and might come out this year...

Blame marketing. They probably received a pack of screenshots a while back and thought that one looked suitably military with oppressive undertones or something daft.

Marketing just needs a good kick in the ass and get it in gear...

Well least the newest official trailers look pretty cool =)
